COVID - 19 Policies

COVID - 19 POLICIES

​

Due to the COVID - 19 pandemic, Beyond Texture is taking extreme caution when it comes to its guests's experiences.  For your safety, all employees of Beyond Texture will be required to do the following:

  • Receive vaccinations and boosters as they become available.

  • Wear a face mask for the duration of the guest's experience. 

  • Sanitize the high-touch points prior to each appointment through out the day (i.e. door handles, bathroom, styling chairs, credit card machine, and retail products, etc.)

  • Thoroughly clean the salon prior to next client.

  • Provide cleansed and sanitized tools (including capes, robes, aprons, scissors, clips, etc.) for each guest.

For all guests of Beyond Texture is implementing the following sanitation and salon guidelines pursuant to the New York State and CDC policies:

  • Beyond Texture is an intimate boutique salon.  Your appointment time may overlap with another guest and rest assured the level of safety will continue to be adhered to.

  • All guests of Beyond Texture will be required to wear a face mask that covers their mouth and nose for the duration of their experience.  If you do not have one, one will be provided to you.

  • If you are more than 15 minutes late for your appointment, you will be asked to reschedule and a $50 cancellation fee will be paid prior to rebooking your next appointment.  Please see late policy below.

  • Immediately upon entering, all guests are required to sanitize and/or thoroughly clean their hands.  

  • Beyond Texture will ask that all guests sign a waiver regarding their exposure to the COVID - 19 virus.  If you feel like you may be sick or experiencing symptoms, please reschedule your appointment.  We cannot risk compromising our guests and staff.  

  • Beyond Texture guests must have an appointment prior to entering the salon.  No walk-in appointments will be taken at this time.

  • We will be happy to offer early morning or first appointments to any of our older guests or immunocompromised guests to keep you safe.  For available appointments, please e-mail Beyond Texture here.

  • Please limit personal care items you may bring into the salon. All personal belongings will be placed in an enclosed container.    

  • There will be no food allowed in Beyond Texture.  You may bring in your own cup with a lid.

  • Only Beyond Texture guests with an appointment will be allowed into the salon.

  • We also ask that no handshakes, hugs or any unnecessary touching takes place at this time.  Air hugs all day!

  • Practicing social distancing at all times is imperative. 

  • Please ask for assistance for all retail selections to minimize touching.

CANCELLATION POLICY

​

At Beyond Texture we strive to make your experience exceptional and our salon comfortable.  We also understand that your health, as well as the safety of the salon is of the utmost importance!   Please e-mail us at Jessica@beyond-texture.com to give us 48 hour notice to change the time and day of your salon experience. Please know your appointment is uninterruptedly yours and without proper notice we are unable to fill the time slot we reserved for you.  

In the event you must cancel within the 48 hour window of your appointment, a $100 cancellation fee will be due prior to booking your next appointment.

LATE POLICY

​

If you are late to your appointment, please notify Jessica at jessica@beyond-texture.com.  In the event you are more than 15 minutes late to your appointment, there will be a $50 late fee applied to your experience.  In the event you are more than 30 minutes late, there will be a $100 no-show fee applied to your experience and further scheduled appointments must be approved by Jessica.

NO-SHOW POLICY

​

In the event you fail to notify Beyond Texture of a cancellation and do not show up at all to your scheduled appointment,  you will be subjected to a $100 no-show fee prior to booking your next appointment.  Please be advised you may become ineligible to be a guest of Beyond Texture.

HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT

​

Please note for all Beyond Texture services, its imperative that you come in with your hair in the following conditions:

-       Switch to a sulfate free cleanser (aka shampoos).

-       Refrain from using silicone based conditioners, and stylers and products that contain heavy oils and butters (i.e. Shea Moisture, Cantu, etc.)

-       Water based stylers are best.  (We'll cover this more together.)

-       Hair must be worn down, in its most natural state.

-       Completely dry with minimal product applied (day 1 or day 2 curls are preferred).

-       Please take time to thoroughly detangle your hair while it is wet with a thorough amount of conditioner.

-       Please no braids, ponytails, blow-outs, twist-outs, etc.

-       Additional fees may apply in the event these conditions are not met.

 

These policies are to ensure that together we can create the best shape for your curls and achieve a customized curl journey just for you.  At Beyond Texture, we understand that curls have a story, and we look forward to working together to resolve any heat damage, chemical damage or dehydration.  That being said, together we will discuss realistic expectations for what’s to come in your curl journey.

REALISTIC EXPECTATIONS

​

At Beyond Texture we strive to deliver exceptional experiences regardless of where you are in your curl journey.  Your beginning Beyond Texture experiences may be impacted by the history of your hair care routine (i.e. chemical damage, heat damage, hydration loss, tension manipulation, etc.)  Together we will establish realistic expectations about the future of your crown.  Please be patient as we navigate through these changes together.

RETAIL RETURN POLICY

​

Should you make a retail purchase that you are unsatisfied with, I will accept retail exchanges at full credit for 45 days from your initial purchase, as long as the product is at least 50% full.

SERVICE ADJUSTMENT POLICY

​

I strive to offer my guests the highest level of guest satisfaction.  If you are having challenges with your cut, let me know within 14 days of your visits, and I am happy to correct the issue with no additional charge.

NO ADDITIONAL GUEST POLICY

​

Due to the intimate size of Beyond Texture, we ask that you do not bring guests with you to your appointment.  This includes spouses, friends or children.  Only parents with minor children receiving services will be permitted to remain in the salon.

FOOD AND DRINK POLICY

​

Due to COVID-19, there will be no food allowed in Beyond Texture.  You may bring in your own cup with a lid.

Beyond Texture accepts all major credit cards, cash, Venmo, and Zelle.

One of the most important factors of your experience is it truly goes Beyond Texture.  We are here to learn how to embrace your crown and with that comes unlearning our behaviors of talking negatively about ourselves, especially our crown.  Whether it reaches to the heavens or dangles below your shoulders, your crown will always be accepted just as it is at Beyond Texture.  I am beautiful, I say, I am beautiful today!
